AC/DC’s “Back in Black” music video keeps on rocking, as the visual reached one billion views on YouTube. It’s the Australian band’s second clip to join the Billion Views club, following their hit “Thunderstruck.”
In the music video, the group performs the high-energy hit on a small stage, as frontman Brian Johnson belts, “Back in black / I hit the sack / I’ve been too long, I’m glad to be back.”
The classic song serves as the title track to AC/DC’s seminal 1980 album, marking their biggest-selling LP.
Back In Black found guitarist Angus Young, rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, bassist Cliff Williams and drummer Phil Rudd joining forces with new singer Brian Johnson (formerly of glam outfit Georgie) and re-teaming with Highway to Hell producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange in the Bahamas to pick up the pieces, just months after frontman Bon Scott died Feb. 19, 1980 at the age of 33.
